After four years and a number of price cuts, former L.A. Lakers star Shaquille O'Neal has finally sold his Miami Beach mansion for $16 million.The NBA star, traded this week to Cleveland, paid $18.8 million for the house, first listed in 2005.
O'Neal had been asking $22.5 million for the nearly 20,000-square-foot home.
The Mediterranean, on 2.5 acres, has seven bedrooms and an indoor basketball court. The mansion is on Star Island, off the southern tip of Miami Beach.Jill Eber and Jill Hertzberg, both of Coldwell Banker, had the listing.
The residential quarters for "Two and a Half Men" star Charlie Sheen and his wife, Brooke, don't seem large enough since the couple had twin sons in March, and so the Sheens plan to sell their existing home and buy one that is larger.They listed their 1927 Mediterranean in Los Feliz with four bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms in 4,179 square feet at $3,697,000.
The Sheens spent the past year restoring and decorating the gated villa, purchased in 2007 for $2,575,000, according to the Multiple Listing Service.There is a fountain in the tiled front courtyard leading to a two-story entry with wood floors and a vaulted ceiling. The living room steps down to a fireplace.
An eat-in kitchen with stone floors and a center island overlooks courtyards and the backyard, which has a pool. The master-bedroom wing, other bedrooms, an upstairs family room and terraces are reached by way of a sweeping staircase.
Charlie Sheen, 43, has numerous credits in film and television, including a starring role in the CBS comedy series "Two and a Half Men," since it was launched in 2003. Former U.S. Secretary of State Warren Christopher has sold his Connecticut farmhouse-style home in the Beverly Hills area for $2.15 million, according to the Multiple Listing Service.
The single-level, 4,000-square-foot home, with three bedrooms and three bathrooms, came on the market in March, 2008, at $3,259,000.
The home, built in 1935, sits on an 18,000-square-foot lot with mature sycamore and birch trees, a pool, a white picket fence and a detached guest studio.
Christopher, 83, served as the third secretary of state under President Clinton. He had owned the home since the 1970s.
Stephen Baker of Coldwell Banker, Beverly Hills North, represented the seller and the buyer.
Michael Paul Chan, who has played an LAPD lieutenant on the TNT drama "The Closer" since 2005, has purchased a mid-century modern in Sherman Oaks for slightly more than $1 million.The post-and-beam house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,864 square feet. The butterfly-style roof dips in the middle. The kitchen has granite counters and stainless-steel appliances. There are mountain and city views.
The home came on the market in April at about $1.2 million.Chan, 59, also has portrayed a detective on "Robbery Homicide Division" (2002-'03), and he was in the Eddie Murphy-created "foamation" animation series "The PJs" (1999-2008).

Richard Foos, the former head of Rhino Records, and his wife, Shari, have put their Brentwood estate on the market at $19.9 million.
The Fooses spent three years building the estate, designed by Thomas Callaway to look as if it was constructed in the '20s. The 10,000-square-foot house has seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms. It sits on more than 34,000 square feet of park-like grounds with a pool and mountain views.
